We are only guests and we produce ephemeral goods, we can choose to do so with foresight, just as we can choose what kind of consumer we want to be.
It is from this premise that the new STRAL catalogue project is born. Three years after the release of the first major restyling work by the Art Director, Alessandro Zambelli, an important new step has been added to the path of defining a unique brand with strong values.
Thus, a years-long journey into the know-how and culture of stainless steel, thanks to Palazzoli's experience, led to the enrichment of what had already been done.
Important new elements within a unique collection, made entirely of AISI 316L, the stainless steel by definition, which in this work is consecrated and personified as the ideal and reliable travelling partner. A travelling partner that is a bearer of values, a material that goes beyond its simple definition and embodies a production philosophy with which to identify.
Stainless steel becomes a symbol of the commitment to sustainable design, capable of looking to the future with responsibility and foresight. As Alessandro Zambelli says: ‘There is something deeply fascinating about transforming a material that defies the passage of time, that is not afraid of wear and tear, but rather, grows stronger over the years, keeping its essential beauty untouched. It is an endless dialogue between man and material, between nature and technology, which come together in a work of modern craftsmanship’.
A tale then, more than just a catalogue, of beauty and resistance that accompany us through time and space with light, materials and respect for the environment.
Inside the new STRAL catalogue, we find all the philosophy that accompanies and guides the brand, between the pages the words immediately give the perception of a more immersive dimension and a global vision of manufacturing today.
We can no longer simply think of producing, then selling and finally buying objects, without taking care of our surroundings.
Know-how and care are narrated in an essential and immediate way to raise awareness and bring people closer to a way of understanding production and careful choices.
Among the new features within the collection is a new multifunctional family to fulfil multiple design requirements where the miniaturization of the lamp bodies is the key.
Steel creates authentic jewels to enrich outdoor contexts without forgetting functionality and offering a solution in those environments with extreme climatic conditions such as seafront areas, mountain areas with freezing temperatures requiring the use of de-icing salts, and our cities unfortunately increasingly polluted with frequent and sudden climatic changes.
At the same time, thanks to the awareness and confidence in the processing of the material, the section dedicated to public lighting has also been expanded with new configurable systems and the historical pole-mounted systems to meet the demands of lighting in squares, promenades, and piers.
A catalogue all to be discovered and made personal, with which the designer can identify and become the bearer of an intimate and peculiar philosophy.
